Kauila Designs

Kauila Designs donates 1% of their store profits to the Hawai'i Wildlife Fund. 

The idea of Kauila Designs was inspired during our trip to Maui in 2022. We had been discussing starting our own business, what we would call it, and how silversmithing would be a part of it. We became fascinated with Hawaii's sea turtles after encountering them while swimming around the island. Inspired by the legend of Kauila (Kow-we-luh: a sea turtle spirit) and our experience in Maui, we decided to launch Kauila Designs in May 2023. We are so grateful for the opportunity to support the conservation efforts being done locally on their behalf. Learn more about the Hawai'i Wildlife Fund! 

Our stones are sourced from small businesses (just like us) and made from recycled and ethically sourced silver.

When we started Kauila Designs, we loved the idea of supporting other small businesses and lapidarists in this industry. It's been amazing to meet and see the talent of those we source from and we are incredibly lucky to have built the relationships we have since starting our business. Something else important to us was sourcing our silver ethically, and we have been able to ensure that our sterling silver jewelry is made from either recycled and ethically sourced silver.
